UV DTF Application Mistakes That Cause Reprints
Most UV DTF failures aren't the transfer's fault — they're application mistakes, and they're all avoidable. Here are the ones that cause lifting, bubbles and peeling, with the fix for each.

Mistake 1: Skipping surface prep
Applying to a surface with oils, dust or fingerprints is the #1 cause of poor adhesion. Always clean with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry fully before applying.
Don't apply to cold or damp surfaces either — room temperature and dry is the rule.
Mistake 2: Under-burnishing
Light pressure leaves the adhesive unseated, so edges lift later. Burnish the entire design firmly — especially edges and corners — with a squeegee or hard card.
When you peel the top film, if an edge lifts, lay it back and burnish more.
Mistake 3: Peeling too fast or at the wrong angle
Yanking the top film off can pull the graphic with it. Peel slowly, at a low angle, watching that the graphic stays on the product. Cold transfers peel harder — let them reach room temperature.
