“Decal” and “sticker” get used interchangeably in UV DTF, but the format you order — and how it's cut — changes the application and the price. Here's how to think about it.

Same technology, different formats

Both UV DTF decals and stickers are the same thing at the core: UV-printed graphics with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that bond to hard surfaces. The difference is how they're delivered.

“Sticker” often implies an individually contour-cut piece with a printed background or border; “decal” often implies a die-cut-to-shape graphic with no background. Both can come on a gang sheet.

Which to order when

Order contour-cut stickers/decals when you want application-ready pieces and clean edges with no trimming. Order a gang sheet when you want the lowest cost and don't mind cutting them apart yourself.
